I want to Shout out to Zach who came to my assistance and helped me immensely yesterday! Great guy! I also want to hail Norman who is always there for us! Same thing as others mentioned, simple oil change under maintenance, on my 3rd hour waiting, came with appointment. No water (just plastic filled keurig coffee), no wending machine. Why the hell on earth does it take you so long? Make better appointment system, I rather have appointment in 2 weeks but be in and out in reasonable time.

This place never changes. I come for oil change and they tell me 2 to 3 hours. Like seriously why does it take so long for an oil change. Who has 2 to 3 hours to wait around. There is no need for 2 to 3 hours for a 20 minute job.

They sent me a offer for my car and then low balled me. It really is to bad i was ready to buy and drive away. The sales man was very nice and professional. Unfortunately the sales manager would not honor the offer they mailed for my car . My car was always serviced there so they definitely now my car.

Yesterday I took my car in for an oil change earlier than necessary because I suspected I was in need of new brakes. The gentleman that greeted me was very polite and professional, he answered all of my questions (there were a lot) without hesitation and really heard my concerns about my brakes and tires. It turned out that I did in fact need new brakes immediately. Thankfully they had all the necessary parts on hand in their stock room. The repair was completed with the utmost efficiency and care. The extraordinary aspect of this particular visit was the technician, Pascal. Throughout the entire process I felt treated with respect and honesty. More importantly as a woman I felt I was treated as an equal when he explained everything. That may seem like a small detail to some individuals. Great experience here buying a new car. I was able to locate and reserve an incoming car that was exactly what I was looking for. Will the salesperson I dealt with was friendly, helpful, and kept me informed. The finance manager, Jonathan, was also very friendly and helpful. The delivery experience was also very smooth and the car even showed up a bit earlier than expected. I would highly recommend this dealership.

From my original inquiry through my first regular service recently, I can't say enough good things about my experience at Nucar Tarbox Hyundai. In fact, there is a Hyundai dealer less than a mile from my home that I will never step foot in again as a result of what felt like shady sales practices when I visited them first in my search of a new vehicle. Nucar Tarbox sold me my vehicle at MSRP and didn't try to add any after market extras that nearly every other Hyundai and Subaru dealer tried during my search. I also brought my own financing at a substantially lower rate with no F&I pressure. All of this on a much in demand hybrid SUV. Based on my experiences so far, I highly recommend.

I am extremely blown away with this dealership and their professionalism. And I won't forget it. Worked with Christian Munoz, and although I found a car at a different dealership to pick up immediately, he was so understanding and assisted me with getting my $1k refund back. There was no hard feelings what so ever and even was happy for me. Sent a follow up email and stood behind their products. I won't forget it and if I do purchase again, I will forever remember this.

If you're like me and are looking at a Hyundai for the "peace of mind" their warranty brings, don't. I noticed that the majority of the reviews are during the sales process. I have not had the same experience with their service department. My car has been at this location for almost 2 months to see if it is covered under their 100k mile warranty and it still hasnt even been looked at. I am not sure if it unique to this location or if this is Hyundai as a whole. From what I understand Hyundai has been busy with a defective engine but I have to call every two weeks for the same update of "it should be up for evaluation within 2 weeks". I ended up having to buy a new car because of how long this process is taking. I will update this review how the repair process goes. Hopefully it is just a backlog issue and once they finally make time for my car things go smoother.

My son took his 2008 car here to have his brakes checked. The advisor DID NOT TIGHTEN THE LUG NUTS ON HIS WHEELS which could’ve ended very badly if one of the tires came off while he was driving!!!! This is not acceptable and very unprofessional!!!! I don’t care if your short staffed make sure you do your job RIGHT!!!!!!

Have you waiting a long time

10 hours ago NEW I scheduled an appointment for the first time online. I then followed up with q call requesting a loaner since I needed to leave the car and go to work. When I arrived, I was informed that the rental guy doesn't come in until 8 and that they might not even have any loaners. Marcus, the service tech never even asked for my name and didn't seemed at all concerned. I will certainly never have my lease serviced or returned to this dealership.

Gerald Hanner Went above and beyond to make sure I was welcome to the dealer and also the state! We just moved to Rhode Island and he gave us great suggestions for our car and entertainment.

Zackary Walsh had my oil changed and car inspected in less than an hour!

Leased my 2018 Sonata from them back in February 2019. The car drove relatively well for the length of the lease (as one would expect) and I found the routine maintenance in their shop to be a solid experience. I bought out the lease upon expiration (Feb 2022). The very first day driving the car after the buyout, check engine light pops on and the engine is shaking upon acceleration. I need to have the car towed to the nearest dealership and am without a vehicle for a week, costing me about $350 and a lot of time. Turns out the issue was related to a known recall/problem with the engine. Great start to ownership… Additionally, toward the end of my lease (Dec 2021), during a routine maintenance visit, I mentioned I was hearing a grinding noise from the rear of the car upon breaking. Per the invoice “Perform(ed) a visual brake inspection. All pads, rotors, calipers and hardware have plenty of material left. Not even half way worn yet.” This made sense because I’d only put about 20k miles on the car over three years, mostly just driving around town. In the months that followed, and getting progressively worse after the Feb 2022 buyout, the car started shaking at higher speeds and upon braking. I mentioned this during my next routine maintenance visit during April 2022 and per this invoice “Found rear rotors warped. Removed and replaced rear pads and rotors.” Cost of $382. My interpretation of this is that the pads and rotors went from being in great shape in December to being warped and needing to be replaced in April? No changes to driving habits, still less than 23k miles on the car. And the kicker is that the car still shakes at higher speeds and upon braking. So the issue wasn’t resolved... I had wanted to continue having my car serviced with them but I’m losing faith. And I’m also concerned I was sold a defective car that will have continued engine issues/expense from the recall and maybe the brakes were bad from the beginning? Aren’t they generally supposed to last more than 20k miles? And the car still shakes.

Second car I bought through Lynn Holston at Tarbox and five cars overall from Tarbox. Need I say any more?

My first regular service after my new car purchase was handled by Anthony, a very knowledgeable and courteous Service Advisor. The service technician that did the servicing was very efficient and fast and did a fine job. Tarbox Hyundai has been servicing my Hyundai's for 9 years now and I feel very confident taking my car there.

I believe our person was Lia? She was incredible helpful and kept me informed.

I recently visited the dealership and was met by Lynn Holston. I was interested in a car that was coded as "in transit". Lynn was very courteous and knowledgeable. I put a deposit on it and was notified when it arrived. The car did have a recall on it and he kept me updated. I was very happy with the service I received.

Gave them a chance with the new ownership. No longer will be my go to, tried to purchase a new car. The trade offer was almost 5k lower than another dealership and full sticker! Went to another dealership and saved 5k. I had purchased many cars here, and will no longer use them. Very disappointed.

Third lease from Nucar Tabox Hyundai. Salesman Billy T. cared for me from the handshake to driving my car off the lot. No detail too small and every question answered. Walked in to dealership with printouts and loads of questions. Billy had patience to spare. Still sending questions and getting prompt replies. I recommend Tarbox and Billy T. without reservation.

Waited 5 months for 2 chips before we could get car inspected. They said it was done, picked it up but still can't be inspected due an undisclosed evac leak

Took almost 2 hours to change oil and I had appointment. Ask to check tire pressure and this was not done as the 4 different pressures where the same as I drove home as when I dropped off. There web states car wash with service and this was not done. Ask the check in person to check on recall number 95 and I see nothing on invoice about recall. Not happy with Nucar Tarbox service department.

Have had family members try to buy a new car through them. They have been upfront about their finances, and were reassured it would be no problem. They put a deposit down, and confirmed the day before in order to pick up the car. After driving all the way there from CT, they were informed that they would not qualify for any financing even through a private loan (the opposite of what they had initially been told). They were also informed that they should've called the day before to confirm. Once the phone record was proven that they had in fact called, they were a told that they should've called the business office instead of the sales office. How would anyone know that unless specifically instructed? And the sales office couldn't transfer? This is just one small detail of a larger, longer event. My family members even had to argue and insist on getting their deposit back - which was made in good faith. I am warning you all DO NOT PURCHASE ANYTHING FROM THIS DEALER. They conduct their business through bait and switch tactics. This will be further pursued through appropriate channels to hopefully stymie this from happening to anyone else.

Best service Lynne was the best, no pressure, very friendly, even the financial department super friendly, walked away with the vehicle the same day

I arrived on time for my appointment and was told it would take two hours as there were eight people ahead of me. My paperwork showed up at the desk while I was in the ladies room. Had no communication given to let me know that. I finally had to ask at the desk. Ended up being there 3-1/2 hours for an oil change with an appointment.
