The Kona is Hyundai’s immensely popular subcompact crossover SUV. The new Hyundai Kona N is a performance-oriented variant with a more powerful engine and many mechanical enhancements. The entire Kona lineup has been redesigned for the 2024 model year. This second-generation Kona N has a new exterior aesthetic, a redesigned cabin, new infotainment features and more standard equipment. The performance aspects of the Kona N, however, have been carried forward mostly unchanged.
The Kona N is a performance-oriented vehicle that is configured exclusively as a front-wheel-drive vehicle and thus does not offer all-wheel drive as an option as with the standard model. This model also has an eight-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission as opposed to the continuously variable transmission, and the engine is a turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine that makes 276 hp and 289 lb.-ft. and which can be temporarily boosted to 286 hp.
The new Kona N available at Nucar Hyundai of North Kingstown has dual 12.3-inch touch screens with all of the advanced infotainment features our customers expect. Advanced driver-assistance tech includes a rearview camera, rear parking sensors, adaptive cruise control, a lane keeping system, lane departure warning with steering assist, blind-spot warning, rear cross-traffic warning and forward collision warning with automatic braking.
Keyless entry, keyless ignition and remote ignition are all standard equipment for the Kona N through our Hyundai dealership serving North Kingstown Providence Johnston Cranston Seekonk. The Kona N also has some mechanical enhancements that distinguish it from the standard model and even the Kona N Line. These include an aerodynamic body kit with a rear spoiler, selectable driving modes, an electronic limited-slip differential, a variable exhaust and performance brakes.
The Kona N is a variant of the standard Kona and is therefore offered in a singular trim level. Outside of the mechanical difference, it is equipped like the Kona Limited, which is the top-spec trim level for the standard model.
Abyss Black Pearl – Lunar White – Racing Red – Sonic Blue. Note that these are the colors offered for the 2023 model year Kona N. We expect them to be carried forward for the new model year, but there may be one or more new additions. Lunar White is a premium color option. The others are standard options included in the MSRP.
